REPORT: Wonderful Weeds, 16 October

Nine ladies, members of the Furzedown Project Gardening Group, brought along weeds for discussion at their meeting at the Project in Moyser Road, West Streatham.  Thus the plants discussed included many of the usual ones:  redshank (Persicaria maculosa), petty spurge (Euphorbia peplus) and annual mercury (Mercurialis annua),  a plant which is spreading northwards, but still has its stronghold in the southeast.  Participants joined in the discussion and  seem to have enjoyed the afternoon.
