Tree commemorates Wesley’s preaching

An ash, Fraxinus excelsior, tree planted outside the churchyard wall at Winchelsea, East Sussex, is said to mark the spot where John Wesley (1703-91) preached his last open-air sermon, on 7 October 1790.
