Activities during the month concentrated on revising the website.  Although no major changes are anticipated, it’s hoped that in the future it will be easier to use by both people who consult it and the compiler.  Most of this work has been completed, but the Local Names page needs further attention.

Six items of information were received from four contributors, three of them new.  Thus the Archive now includes 9405 items from 3413 contributors.

Five walks were led, and an enjoyable visit was made to Caernarfon for the Society for Folklife Studies annual meeting.

An abbreviated version of the talk ‘Bramble Arches and Split Ashes’, given at the Society of Ley Hunters Spring Moot in May, was published in the Society’s Newsletter, no. 76: 6.

After not being able to do so for five years, it is now possible to find out how many searches are being made of the website.  During September 298 searches were made, a dramatic decrease from the 5532 searches made in August 2019.  It is assumed that part of this is due to the totals being calculated in different way.
