A mulberry (Morus nigra) tree growing in Streatham Park Estate, London Borough of Wandworth, is said to be associated with Samuel Johnson (1709-84).  In 2017 much of this tree fell down, and later the bulk of the tree was removed.  However, new shoots emerged from its stump, and, as this photograph taken on 4 August 2025 shows, the tree is now thriving (and fruiting).
