Coronet worn by Earl Whitworth at the coronation of King George IV in 1820, now displayed at Knole, a National Trust property near Sevenoaks, Kent.
‘There are clues and symbols which show who the coronet was intended for. An Earl was entitled to a coronet decorated with eight silver balls, which were sometimes replaced by pearls, and eight strawberry [Fragaria] leaves.’
