Flowers on Deir Yassin memorial

Posted on by royvickery |

Bunch of red carnations, Dianthus caryophyllus, left on Deir Yassin memorial, Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow, 14 July 2024.

On 9 April 1948 Zionist paramilitaries attacked the village of Deir Yassin, in Mandatory Palestine, killing over 100 (at one time it was believed over 250) villagers, even though the village had agreed a non-aggression pact.
