Hastings, East Sussex, held its annual Jack-in-the-Green parade on the May Day bank holiday, Monday 6 May 2025, a rather cool, often sunless, day.  Thousands of people, many wearing circlets of ivy (Hedera helix) and other fresh and artificial plant materials, attended.  The traditional Hasting May Day Run also attracted a large number of motorcyclists to the town.
