Another Trichromatic P.C. by J. Welch & Sons of Portsmouth, sent from Oldham, Lancashire, Lancashire [now Greater Manchester] to an address in the same town, 4 November 1905: ‘Poppy [Papaver] – consoling’.
Most language-of-flowers cards seem to have been used at random with the message on the back bearing no relationship to the sentiment on the front, this card appears to have been specially selected for the written message on the back.
