Another J. Welsh & Sons card, sent on 5 May 1905 from Kenton, Devon, to an address in Paddington, London.  This card is a reminder of how the Language could be easily misinterpreted.  According to another card (posted here on 22 July 2026), columbine meant ‘resolved to win’, whereas red columbine meant ‘anxious’.
