Mistletoe cures cancer – 2

A 75-year-old man ‘has beaten off an incurable form of leukaemia thanks to regular injections – of mistletoe’ [Viscum album]. After receiving twice-weekly injections for five years, he feels ‘on top of the world’ and plays golf three times a week.
Following this success, his GP, who learnt of the treatment in Germany, and a cancer specialist at Aberdeen University ‘are to conduct more tests to see if extracts from the plant improve the immune systems of cancer patients’.
