March was a comparatively productive and enjoyable month.  Appeals for information in New Blackmore Vale and Purbeck Gazette, and the use of plants used as palms on Palm Sunday all yielded interesting results.  Thank you everyone.

26 items of information were received from 12 contributors, nine of them new.  Thus the Archive now contains 9337 items from 3365 contributors.

A short visit was made to Portugal for Holy Week celebrations in Braga and Porto.  One well-attended plant walk was led.

22 posts were added to the website’s blog page, and two minor publications were produced:

‘Cemetery Flora: Primrose (Primula vulgaris)’, FONC News 163: 9-10.

‘Cemetery Plants: Bluebell (Hyacinthoides nonscripta and hybrids)’, Friends of Brompton Cemetery Magazine 79: 23-4 [version of article republished, with an incorrect image, in Friends of Brompton Cemetery Magazine 80: 8-9, Summer 2024].
