Jeff Emin, a regular at the Royal Vauxhall  Tavern (RVT), died in April 2020.  Soon after a tree in Spring Gardens, behind the Tavern, was planted in his memory by his friends.

The RVT is reputedly south London’s oldest LGBT venue, having started with drag shows soon after the Second World War.
