Tuesday 29 May, Pavement Prowl – discover the wealth of wayside plant life, a stroll around backstreets in the Tulse Hill area, starting at 11 a.m.  Due to the dry spring this is will be a challenge as many of the plants usually present are unlikely to be so; however we expect to find a good range of native and introduced species.  See the Events page for further details.

Report:  Seven people turned up, a smaller number than usual, but perhaps ideal as due to dry weather many  plants were rather small, so it would have been difficult to show them to a larger group. As usual we examined a variety of native and introduced species, including native groundsel (Senecio vulgaris), an archaeophyte – introduced before 1500 A.D. – fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) and several neophytes – introduced since 1500 A.D. – including Mexican fleabane (Erigeron karvinskianus) and butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii).
