REMINDER: Wild Flower walk, 13 April

Posted on by royvickery |

Thursday 13 April Roy Vickery will be leading the second of a series of  wild flower walks starting from the Woodfield Pavilion, off Abbotswood Road, Streatham, London Borough of Lambeth, starting at 11 a.m. and continuing for about 60-90 minutes.  All welcome and  booking unnecessary.

Report: 13 people enjoyed  a pleasant 75 minutes wandering around a small corner of the Common and studying some of the plants found there.  These included fritillary, Fritillaria meleagris, first recorded on the Common in c.2014 (see photograph), juneberry, Amelanchier lamarckii, which has been known here since 2009.

‘That was fascinating!’
