Grave of Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh (1914-2003) in Brompton Cemetery, London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, decorated with a palm leaf and willow (Salix sp.), 29 April 2016 – five days after Russian Orthodox Palm Sunday.

Anthony Bloom was leader of  the Russian Orthodox Church’s Sourozh Diocese (which covers Great Britain and Ireland), from 1962 until his death, and was well known as a broadcaster and writer.  His grave continues to be constantly decorated with planted and cut flowers.
