When Chester, Cheshire, was visited on 25 and 26 October 2024 there little sign of Halloween, mainly small paper pumpkins in a few shop windows.  However, one pub, Ye Olde King’s Head, in Lower Bridge Street, had decided to decorate its entrance with plastic foliage and artificial pumpkins.
