On the whole Hallowe’en 2021 seems to be somewhat low key, with fewer pumpkins on sale, and fewer house-fronts decorated.

On Saturday 30 October a couple of hours were spent wandering around Walthamstow, London Borough of Waltham Forest.  None of the stalls in the extensive street market had pumpkins for sale, and few houses had Hallowe’en decorations.  Of the 80 or so houses in Rensburgh Road, one had carved pumpkins on its external windowsill (see image), two had uncarved small pumpkins on their windowsills, and two had decorated front windows.
