The Bounds of Trinity College, Cambridge, were beaten on the afternoon of Ascension Day, 14 May 2026.  Led by a college chaplain the procession started at the Great Gate and stopped at various points along its route, for them to be ‘blessed with chalk, incense and holy water’, between stops participants beat the walls with small branches of willow (Salix sp.).  Finally the procession moved ‘to the College bar for refreshment’.
