Plant-Lore

Collecting the folklore and uses of plants

Going global

When this website was first launched it was intended to concentrate on the folklore and traditional uses of plants in the British Isles, and to a lesser extent similar material from the rest of Europe and the English-speaking world. However, it is apparent that many of the people who use it are interested in material from outside these areas.
Therefore we have decided to add information all parts of the world, so if you have any material which can be added to the website please send it in.
Thanks to Linda Saul for her account of using centella to treat asthma in Papua New Guinea, which is the first ‘exotic’ record to be added ‘Material Collected’ page.
