2014-07-20 14.37.53The ‘historic Procession in Honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel’ took place in Clerkenwell, London, on Sunday 20 July 2014. ¬†Organised by St Peter’s Italian Church in Clerkenwell Road, the procession was first held in 1883, and consists of a series of tableaux depicting various biblical scenes, carried statues of saints, walkers representing Italian groups based at St Peter’s and elsewhere, and culminating in the motor-borne statue of Our Lady, which spends the rest of the year in St Peter’s church.
