The 2025 Peckham Conker Championships were held at the Brick Brewery, next to Peckham Rye station in the London Borough of Southwark, on Saturday 4 October, a cold and blustery afternoon.  It is said that the ‘Peckham Conker Community’ started in 2017.

Early in the afternoon a relatively sedate junior competition was held, but from 3 o’clock the ‘senior battle’ became increasingly chaotic, continuing for about four hours, with the rules seemingly being more often broken than obeyed.

Eventually, at c. 7.15 a winner, who beat the favourite and 2024 winner Pietro the Pummeller, emerged and was awarded the ‘Golden Nut’, reputedly a 22 carat gold conker.
