Following the cancellation of the 2011 World Conker Championships due to bad weather, the 2012 event, due to be held on 14 October, was cancelled because no suitable venue could be found.
However, the Ship Inn, Oundle, near the Championships’ traditional home, held a championship event, with classes for men, ladies, and juniors (up to 14), which was judged to be a great success.
