The news in Great Britain on 30 and 31 October 2025 was dominated by the stripping of  disgraced Prince Andrew of his titles; he will in future be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.  He will also be leaving his 30-room home, Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.  He had been living there for 22 years, ”under an arrangement requiring him to hand over one peppercorn if demanded of him a year”. This entitled him and his family to live in the Lodge until 2078 [Metro, 31 October 2025].
