Collecting the folklore and uses of plants

Plant-lore Archive – July 2024

Posted on by royvickery |

July was an average month without anything of great note happening.

11 items of information were received from nine contributors, seven of them new, bringing the totals to 9387 items from 3399 contributors.

Seven events of various kinds were held, and 16 posts were added to the website’s blog page.

On 9 July it was reported that 6121 hard copies and 505 kindle versions of Vickery’s Folk Flora had been sold.  This compares with 3790 hard copies and 445 kindle versions reported as being sold on 9 May 2023.

The Facebook group Plant lore and Traditions, established in 2016, has attracted little attention and few contributions.  However, it is hoped to revive the group and ensure that at least two posts are added each month.  These posts will include additional images of some of the events included on the website’s blog page.  Anyone wanting to join the group is invited to contact vickery330@btinternet.com
