Although little information was collected – only four items, from four contributors, three of them new – March was an enjoyable month.

Visits were made to Cardiff for St David’s Day, London’s St Patrick’s Day Parade, and Oxford’s Commemoration of Thomas Cranmer. Seven events were led; of these the South London Botanical Institute’s event for young people on 27 March was particularly stimulating.  A interview about hawthorn was recorded for VeloNotte Botanica.

18  posts were added to the website’s blog page, and 245 searches (the most since the way in which calculations was revised in October 2024) were made of the site.  However, the number of useful messages received via the site remains disappointingly low; only one was received during the month.

Users are reminded that most of the website posts should be considered to be work-in-progress, rather than the final word, so comments and corrections are always welcome.
