Poppies, a general symbol of death – 2

In October 2017 we noted that the symbolism of red poppies has extended beyond commemorating, mainly service, people killed in wars, to become a more general symbol of death.

This undertaker’s van, photographed in February 2020 in the Lambeth Cemetery, London Borough of Wandsworth, appears to confirm this extension.
