The final 2025 plant walk starting from the Woodfield Pavilion, on Tooting Common, London Borough of Lambeth, will be held on Thursday 23 October, starting at 11 a.m. and continuing for about an hour.

It is hoped that from spring 2026 further monthly walks will be arranged jointly by Woodfield Pavilion and the South London Botanical Institute.

Report:  After strong winds and heavy rain earlier, and with dire weather forecast, it was, perhaps, surprising that four people turned up for this walk, which took place in during an almost dry spell.  We wandered around the perimeter of Woodfield and discussed some of the plants found, either in the field or protruding over garden fences, concentrating on any ways in which these plants were used in traditional healing.  People seem to have enjoyed the stroll and at least two said they hoped to come on future walks in 2026.
