Plant-lore Archive – June 2026

Posted on by royvickery |

June was a moderately successful time, though events towards the end of the month were rather poorly attended, probably due to excessive heat.

41 items of information were received from 36 contributors, 34 of them new.  Thus the Archive now contains 10,343 items from 4,263 contributors.

Six walks were led attracting a total of c.70 people.  Particularly enjoyable were two walks in Longden Road Victorian Cemetery, Shrewsbury.  Visits were paid to Béjar, Spain, for its Corpus Christi Festivities, and to the Knollys Rose Ceremony in London.

The number of searches of the website decreased, but the number of useful messages received via it remained constant, though rather small.
